I’m Damon Salley Jr., founder of Salley’s Home Improvement.

What started as a few DIY experiments in my own home quickly became a full-time passion for transforming spaces and helping homeowners bring their ideas to life. Today, my team and I travel across the country designing and building custom feature walls, media setups, and home transformations that make every room feel one-of-a-kind.

As a Virgo and a perfectionist, I believe that great craftsmanship is found in the details — the clean lines, the precise cuts, and the flawless finishes that bring a design together. That’s what our clients value most, and it’s what drives every project we take on.

More About Us

It all started when my fiancée asked me to paint a room in our home. I’d never done anything like that before, but I gave it a shot. Then came the next challenge—she wanted 4-foot marquee letters for an event. I figured it out, step by step. Not long after, she asked if I could build her a fire pit in the backyard. I didn’t have professional training, but I had determination—and a YouTube video or two. After every project, she looked at me and said, “You know, you’re really good at this… maybe you should start a business.” That one sentence stuck with me.

Since then, I’ve built Salley’s Home Improvement from the ground up—turning that first painted room and a few DIY projects into a full-service home improvement brand. I’m a family man first, fiancé and father of a 17 year old, and every project I take on is rooted in the same love and commitment I pour into my own home.

Today, I specialize in custom shiplap walls, fireplace feature builds, floating shelves, entryway makeovers, media walls with hidden wiring for TVs, painted accent walls, and even special builds like 8x6 magazine booths for events. A lot of my clients come to me with something they’ve seen on Pinterest or Instagram, and I love bringing those visions to life in a way that’s both beautiful and functional.
